During your dive in the beautiful islands around Malaysia, you will find a good balance of macro life and pelagic, as well as a wide array of species. You will find a vast range of types of diving, from resorts to liveaboards, allowing you to explore many wrecks and coral reefs. Suitable conditions for scuba diving can be found all year-round, with warm water between 27 to 30 ºC (81 to 86ºF) and high visibility. You can choose some of the most remote pristine islands for diving, to the most touristic spots with exciting nightlife.

Diving in Perhentian Islands

Off the coast of Terangganu, you will find the Perhentian Islands. They are made up of two main islands: Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. This is a popular option among families, snorkeler sand divers. The best season to travel is from March to October when the islands is available for diving. Perhentian is a nesting home to the green and hawksbill sea turtle. You can also find WWII wrecks suitable for advanced divers, such as Vietnamese Wreck and Sugar Wreck, species such as black-tips harks and reef fishes. Coral reefs and turtle sightings are common in these islands.
